Not at all a bible film, (despite what one of the people commenting at this site thought), but having heard lots of people say enthusiastic things about Children of Men I decided to watch it. Whilst I didn't think it quite earned some of the hyperbole, it was certainly impressive with memorable images, powerful insights and the odd moment or two of sublime transcendence. Jeffrey Overstreet has published my review over at Looking Closer. Gareth Higgins also says a few interesting things here
